PROCESS DESCRIPTION

In a Top Blown Rotary Converter the feed material is exposed additionally to the rotation of the converter. Roasting, melting and reduction are carried out in one unit, which results in economical and environmentally relevant advantages. Energy input is via burner systems. The copper containing raw material is transformed to “copper matte"with a copper content of 55 - 60 % mainly from Cu2S.
